"Put the dumpling stuffing in the middle first, and then stick the dough together." In the afternoon of the school, in the student living area of the school, the school teacher taught foreign students how to make dumplings in front of the dumpling desk. Under the demonstration of, they made dumplings with peculiar shapes. "Dad, you put the dumpling skin in the palm of your left hand first, and put the meat filling on the dumpling skin in your right hand..." BoHan taught his father, who was thousands of miles away, how to make dumplings on the spot through a mobile phone video, and told his father about traditional Chinese festivals, the origin of the Spring Festival and festival customs such as eating dumplings and sticking window grilles.

Rolling out the skin, mixing stuffing, kneading... BoHan's father followed BoHan step by step in front of the phone screen to wrap the dumplings. BoHan told his father that he has learned a lot of life skills in China in the past few years. Not only can he make dumplings, but also make steamed stuffed bun, cut window grilles, and cook Sichuan cuisine... "Now I can eat spicy food very much, and hot pot skewers are my favorite. The face-changing of Sichuan Opera is very magical... I will bring Chinese culture back to my hometown in the future!" said BoHan. "Happy New Year everyone, happy every day!" After a while, BoHan's father wrapped a good-looking dumpling. He took the wrapped dumpling, showed it to everyone on the camera of the mobile phone, and sent New Year's blessings.

"It is precisely because the shape of dumplings is very similar to ancient ingots, so eating dumplings during the Chinese Lunar New Year has the meaning of 'fortune and treasures', which symbolizes 'New Age New Time'." The school teacher introduced to the students while making dumplings. It is understood that there are currently more than 300 foreign students in the school. Affected by the epidemic, they conducted online teaching according to the school's teaching plan last semester. Now that the school has also closed for winter vacation, these foreign students stayed at the school for the Spring Festival, hoping that they can feel the care and warmth of the school and have an unforgettable Chinese New Year. As foreign students, BoHan and other foreign students go to Nanchong Wangfujing Shopping Center, 1227 Plaza and other local supermarkets on weekdays to shop and taste local snacks, and feel the customs of Nanchong. "I like the national culture of Langzhong City very much. I have been there 4 times, and each time I have a different feeling and experience. The quaint old houses make me linger. I especially hope to settle down in Nanchong." Patience is a foreign student from the Republic of Zambia, who have been studying at the school for 4 years, with two more years to complete her studies. She likes the "Three Kingdoms" and "Nian" culture in Nanchong, and Patience also spends her break time translating and reading "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" in the school library. While making dumplings, when talking with the teacher about the future, an international student from the Republic of India, Savitha, said that he wanted to study medical books such as "The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine", "Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Miscellaneous Diseases", and "Shen Nong's Herbal Classic". After asking each international student about their taste, the on-site teachers helped them make dipping water, which were very busy. After a while, BoHan brought a large bowl of hot dumplings to students. "Good ! Good ! It's very delicious!" While eating, the international students told teachers those Chinese dumplings are delicious, and it is very warm to share together. " I heard that there are many types of Chinese dumplings. It was the first time I had meat-filled dumplings, and they were really delicious," Savitha said, with a thumbs up. On the spot, Savitha sent photos of the cooked dumplings to relatives far away, and told them that she lived well here.
