Q:What are the requirements for applying for a scholarship?

A:Requirements for application. Students who apply for scholarships need to meet the following conditions:

1) Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, be friendly to China, abide by the rules and regulations of NSMC, be healthy, and hold foreign passports or foreign nationality certificates;

2) The applicant should have the corresponding Chinese level and provide relevant certificates (such as HSK certificate, other Chinese learning and examination certificate, etc.);

3) The Chinese government and other kinds of scholarships shall not be obtained at the same time;

4) The applicants are required to clear all the fees for the academic year;

5) Applicants for Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for Foreign Students should meet one of the following requirements:

(1) Students who apply for undergraduate scholarship should receive the equivalent of Chinese secondary school diploma or certificate, under the age of 30.

(2) Applicants for a postgraduate scholarship should receive a bachelor's degree or equivalent, with recommendation letters of two professors or associate professors from the college or university from which they graduate, under the age of 35.

(3) The students who apply for scholarship for longterm students pursuing further study should have the corresponding educational background and language level (Chinese or English), under the age of 45, according to the requirements and

level of the course. Those who have won the scholarship for further studies shall not be allowed to apply for scholarship within three years (starting from the year of getting the award).

Q:Are there any restrictions on the application and evaluation of scholarships?

A:Scholarship are open to all majors.

Q:Can I apply for a scholarship if I receive any penalties in that year?

A: If you receive any penalty, you will not be eligible for a scholarship in the current year.

Q:What materials are required to apply for a scholarship?

A:Application materials:

Applicants should provide all the necessary materials:

1) Materials for Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students (two copies):

(1) Application Form for Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students;

(2) A photocopy of a notarized certificate of education and academic report;

(3) Photocopies of passport or foreign nationality certificate;

(4) Health certificate;

(5) A letter of recommendation from two professors or associate professors from the college or university from which they graduate (only for postgraduate scholarship);

(6) Other necessary materials required by NSMC.

2) Materials for NSMC Yearly Scholarship for International Students:

(1) Application Form for NSMC Yearly Scholarship for International Students;

(2) The award winning certificate or proof of participation in activities in this academic year;

(3) Invoice for the clearance of fees of the academic year.
