As the Mid-Autumn Festival of 2021 is coming, on the afternoon of September 18, School of International Education and Cooperation held interesting activities for international students, to celebrate the Chinese traditional festival. 

The international students in our school gathered together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, enjoyed Moon Cakes and experienced Chinese culture with Chinese teachers and students.

Firstly, teachers introduced the origin and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival to international students. The full moon symbolizes family reunion, and the tradition of family shares moon cakes together. 

International students tried different flavors of moon cakes, of which the most popular are red bean flavor and cheese flavor. 

Afterwards, we started the lantern riddle guessing activity of Mid-Autumn Festival, which mobilized everyone's excellent festival atmosphere.

“We enjoy the same moment together when the bright moon rising over the sea horizon, even though we are far away.” This is a poem by Zhang Jiuling, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. It also well describes our current feeling. 

Although affected by the epidemic, foreign students cannot go home and reunite with their families at this moment. 

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, students can experience different Chinese culture, place their feeling of missing on their families, and they can also feel the warmth of the big family of North Sichuan Medical College, taste the charm of Chinese traditional festival. 

International students will become bridges between Chinese and foreign cultures, and introduce the beautiful tradition of Family-Reunion and Peace-Love to the world.
