Administrative Measures for off-campus accommodation of international students in North Sichuan Medical College

Article 1 These regulations are formulated for the purpose of standardizing and strengthening the educational management of off-campus accommodation for overseas students in accordance with the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China and Exit of Foreigners (Presidential Decree No.57), Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners (Decree of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China No. 637), Management for University Recruiting and Training of International Students (Order no. 42 of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, The Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China) and Regulations on the Administration of Overseas Students in North Sichuan Medical College.

Article 2 International students in China (hereinafter referred to as "international students") refer to foreign students who do not have Chinese nationality according to the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China and are educated in schools (North Sichuan Medical College, hereinafter referred to as school).

Article 3 The so-called off-campus accommodation for international students in these Measures refers to the fact that international students leave the student dormitory arranged by the school to live in other places, including accommodation at homes such as parents, relatives and friends.

Article 4 Graduate students and undergraduate internship students in China can apply for off-campus accommodation.

Article 5 International students are not allowed to live off campus without application or without approval. They must pay the accommodation fee to the school and abide by the relevant regulations of on-campus accommodation management. Any violation of school education and teaching management regulations shall be dealt with in accordance with the regulations.

Article 6 To apply for off-campus accommodation, international students must personally fill in the "Approval Form for Off-campus Accommodation for Foreign Students of North Sichuan Medical College", go through the relevant procedures at the police station where the accommodation is located, and submit the following written materials:

(1) A copy of the passport of the international student;

(2) Written consent of parents of international students;

(3) "Registration Form for Temporary Accommodation" issued by the police station;

(4) A copy of the housing lease contract.

Article 6 The process of applying for off-campus accommodation for international students is as follows:

(1) Graduate students

1. Application: Download the "Approval Form for Foreign Students Off-campus Accommodation in North Sichuan Medical College" from the official website of the School of International Education and Cooperation and fill in the relevant content.

2. Review: Submit the completed application approval form to the supervisor and the person in charge of the training department for review and signature.

3. Approval: Submit required documents to the Student Affairs Office of the School International Education and Cooperation for review, including the application approval form signed and approved by the supervisor and the person in charge of the training department together with a copy of the applicant's passport, written consent from parents, "Registration of Temporary Accommodation" issued by the police station, a copy of the housing lease contract and other written materials.

When reviewing the application materials for off-campus accommodation for international students, the Student Affairs Office shall provide education and guidance to the international students, explaining the possible consequences of off-campus accommodation and personal responsibilities. After being confirmed by the international student again, report to the leader of the School of International Education and Cooperation for approval.

(2) Undergraduate Internship Students

1. Application: Download the "Approval Form for Foreign Students Off-campus Accommodation in North Sichuan Medical College". from the official website of the School International Education and Cooperation and fill in the relevant content.

2. Review: Submit required documents to the Student Affairs Office of the School of International Education and Cooperation for review, including the completed application together with a copy of the applicant's passport, written consent from parents, "Registration of Temporary Accommodation" issued by the police station, a copy of the housing lease contract and other written materials.

3. Approval: When reviewing the application materials for off-campus accommodation for international students, the Student Affairs Office shall provide education and guidance to the international students, explaining the possible consequences of off-campus accommodation and personal responsibilities. After being confirmed by the international student again, report to the leader of the School International Education and Cooperation for approval.

(3) Apartment check-out: From the date of approval of off-campus accommodation, international students must go to the Apartment Management Center of the Department of Logistics Management to complete the check-out procedures within 3 days.

(4) Filing: After completing the check-out procedures, international students need to submit the "Approval Form for Off-campus Accommodation for Foreign Students in North Sichuan Medical College" to the School International of Education and Cooperation for the record.

Article 8 International students must ensure that the information and materials provided are accurate during the application process for off-campus accommodation. Anyone who conceals facts and falsifies information required in Article 6 and Article 7 shall be dealt with as dishonest behavior in accordance with the Regulations on the Administration of Overseas Students in North Sichuan Medical College ; if the circumstances are serious, corresponding disciplinary sanctions shall be given.

Article 9 During the stay of foreign students off campus, the student dormitory on campus will no longer arrange dormitory beds, no more dormitory fees will be charged, and the original dormitory beds will no longer be reserved. If foreign students need to resume on-campus accommodation, submit a written application for back-to-campus accommodation to the School of International Education and Cooperation in advance. After approval, the Department of Logistics Management will coordinate the accommodation arrangements.

Article 10 International students should strengthen self-management while living off campus, abide by national laws and regulations and social ethics, and do a good job of self-protection of personal and property safety. In principle, rented houses should have good security and surrounding environment. Classmates and friends are best co-tenants, and try to avoid sharing with strangers, unfamiliar people, and people with bad habits. International students and their parents are responsible for personal injuries, property losses, and various disputes with landlords and neighbors in the off-campus accommodation.

Article 11 International students should take the initiative to strengthen contact and communicate information with grade counselors, the Student Affairs Office of the School of international Education and Cooperation and tutors during their stay outside the school. If there is any change in the off-campus accommodation location, emergency contact person, contact phone number, etc., the change should be reported to the Student Affairs Office of the School of international Education and Cooperation for the record in a timely manner. Otherwise, the school information cannot be delivered and all consequences arising therefrom will be borne by the international students themselves.

Article 12 The grade counselors of international students and the Student Affairs Office of the School of international Education and Cooperation shall strengthen the educational management of international students' off-campus accommodation, regularly inquire about the students’ off-campus accommodation and living conditions, communicate regularly with the students, and deal with problems promptly and report them to the School of International Education and Cooperation.

Article 13 The School of International Education and Cooperation is responsible for the interpretation of these regulations. This regulation shall come into effect on the date of promulgation. If other relevant documents are inconsistent with this regulation, this regulation shall prevail.
