On November 26, 2023, SIEC (School of International Education and Cooperation) held a grand welcome party for the 2023 International Cultural Festival on the Wind and Rain Playground. This event aims to welcome new students and enhance cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign students through the exhibition of cultural and artistic works from various countries.

Xiao Fengling, Dean of SIEC, Li Weixing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Foreign Languages and Culture, Lin Jingyan, Director of the Department of Anesthesiology at the School of Clinical Medicine, as well as representatives of some teachers from our school and West China Normal University attended the evening party.

At the opening ceremony of the party, Xiao Fengling, Dean of SIEC, warmly welcomed the international students who came to North Sichuan Medical College for the first time this year, and expressed the hope that through this event, the international students could better integrate into campus life and experience the charm of Chinese culture. Following this, a performance full of exotic charm kicked off the New Year's Eve Party.

The evening party showcased the exchange and integration of different cultural arts to the audience through student bands, Chinese martial arts performances, and exotic African and South Asian dances. This is not only a visual and auditory feast, but also allows all participating Chinese students and international students to feel the warmth and inclusiveness of the school as an international community.

In addition to multiple programs such as Chinese and foreign songs, dances, and instrumental performances, the evening also features interactive segments where Chinese and foreign students participate in game interactions to enhance mutual understanding and friendship. At the end of the evening party, the audience below danced happily under the influence of the stage atmosphere, pushing the atmosphere to a climax.

As one of the activities of the International Cultural Festival organized by SIEC, the 2023 International Cultural Festival welcome party not only provides freshmen with an opportunity to understand multiculturalism and integrate into campus life, but also further enhances friendship and understanding between Chinese and foreign students.
